Eghbal Rashidi, Ph.D.
Eghbal Rashidi is a lecturer in the Information Systems & Analytics department at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University (SCU).
He joined SCU in September 2017. Previous to joining SCU, Eghbal was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Industrial Engineering department in Clemson University, working on Supply Chain Risk Analysis, a project funded by the AIG Inc.
Eghbal holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Mississsippi State University. His research interests involve delevoping models and algorithms for large scale optimization problems with applications in supply chain and logistics, transportation, and homeland security. His research has been sponsored by several governmental and private organizations including the DHS and MDOT.
He has several publications in different peer reviewed journals, including Naval Research Logistics, IISE Transactions, European Journal of Operational Research, Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, and International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. Eghbal has been a frequest invited reviewer for Transportation Research Part E, RAIRO Operations Research, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Transportmetrica A, and several other journal outlets.
Eghbal received the 2015 INFORMS Judith Libeman (Moving spirit) Award in Philadelphia, PA for his outstanding service.
